2007–2009所發生的全球性金融海嘯改變了金融體系的許多方面,包括資金貸放、銀行營運、以及對金融體系的法規管制。本課程透過對過去金融危機與風暴的個案分析,提供在貨幣、銀行、和金融系統的基本知識。課程特別強調近期金融市場學得的教訓:主管機關對潛在風險的認知、政策方向與因應手段、配合市場參與機構的機制與反應,足堪醞釀或化解金融危機。此課程使用基本的經濟和貨幣銀行原理,引導學生思考金融體系架構、金融市場、金融機構管理,以及貨幣政策在經濟世界中的個別角色和相互關係。
