This course is designed to help graduate students gain knowledge about several important financial accounting topics, including financial reporting quality, earnings management, conservatism and cost behavior. Other emerging accounting topics like corporate social responsibility, dividend and managerial behavior will also be included in the course. Students who take this course are strongly recommended to have undergraduate background in accounting and statistics.
