In this course, we would discuss the fundamental of signals and systems. We would also illustrate the computational methods for processing continuous-time/discrete-time signals. From time and frequency domains, in this class, we would introduce the representation of signals and analyze the functionality of systems. Key concepts and analysis theories would be covered including time-domain signal representation, time-domain system analysis, frequency-domain signal representation, frequency-domain system analysis, sampled continuous-time Signals, linear time-invariant systems, impulse response, frequency response, convolution, filtering, and Fourier transform. This course is also the entry to higher-level courses like image processing, communications, robot control, and machine learning.
No Prerequisite. Having the background of linear algebra is plus.
