In this course, we will talking about different cultural situations in Taiwan based on the topics given in the book. But since the content of the book is out of date, we will add the materials from news nowadays to make the discussion more close to our lives.
Students who is interested in Taiwan culture and with intermediate Chinese ability. That is, students who already learned "Contemporary Chinese Book 3", or passed TOCFL Level 3-4, or have had Chinese Class for 400-900 hours in Taiwan.

1. Students who missed the first two classes will be dropped from the course. 2. In order to make course discussion goes fluently, the teacher ask the students to preview the content before the class, and there will be preview test. If you don't have time dedicated yourself to every week's test, please do not choose this course. 3. Hopefully the students are willing to speak and share their perspectives in the class. 4. The lecturer reserves the right of changing the course schedule based on the actual progress of the class.
