The subject of studying sentence structures is called Syntax, which is part of generative grammar. The goal of this course is to familiarize students with important topics of the Government and Binding Theory, such as Phrase Structure, Movement, and Subjacency. In addition, it aims to help students develop skills required for syntactic analyses.
