The purpose of this course is to provide students an overview of adolescent health, particularly risky and unhealthy development, such as deviance (e.g., substance use), unconventional behavior (e.g., suicide and risky sexual behavior), mental problems (e.g., depression), and physical problems (e.g., obesity). In addition, we will also discuss research method on these issues and contextual and individual factors.
