Ensembl 資料庫整合了人類及數種模式物種的基因體序列、變異、表現體、調控、乃至於跨物種基因體比較之豐富資料,近年來並整合了 dbSNP、ENCODE等國際合作計畫產生的資訊。本課程將介紹 Ensembl DB及browser的建構邏輯,介紹取得並整理大量基因體註解資料的理論及技術,以進行進一步的資料探勘工作。 其次,鑑於近年來 machine learning及 deep learning在癌症體學研究的應用,本課程介紹 Python 套件,如Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn等,以及資料庫管理系統 MySQL,以逐步建立大數據處理分析的基礎,並且能夠建立自我學習的信心,使用已有的套件,來進行進階的大資料探勘。
已修過 Python programming (本課程並非入門級的程式設計課程,只適合已有中初級程式設計能力的同學),並且熟悉各種 Python built-in variable types, flow control, regular expression 等等基本程式設計元素。課程會安排一系列實作考驗,欲選修本課程時,請思考是否能負荷。
