This course is intended to provide an introduction to the major themes and trends in Korean history from antiquity to modern age. Students will examine various issues, events, and individuals in political, social, economic, art and cultural history. The learning outcome from the course should meet students understand how history has formed Korea as one unit of the world and establish to a critical, intellectual comprehension of Korean History. Korean language skill is not required. Gain a basic understanding of major themes in Korean history and culture.
