This graduate-level course covers several advanced topics in modern coding theory including turbo codes, LDPC codes, polar codes, etc. The goal of this course is to develop the abilities of students: • To understand the concepts of modern channel codes • To be capable of implement these codes on computers • To understand the design and analysis tools for constructing such codes codes
• Coding theory • Knowledge of a programming language
