Introduction to particle physics. - In this course we will explore the sub-atomic structure of the universe at 1 fm and below. We will get to know the standard model as the combination of three of the four known forces of natur. With a focus on the LHC we will keep an eye on today's cutting edge research and how it contributes to understanding what might lie beyond.
Special relativity, quantum mechanics, quantum field theory is desirable but not mandatory
