To provide students with an overview of the progress of different biomedical research fields concerning human physiology and introduce the common experimental approaches used to delineate the underlying mechanisms. The lectures will be offered in a round table discussion format to facilitate the interaction between lecturers and students. English will be the primary language used for communication during the class.
Students are expected to have general knowledge of biology and physiology. The lecture will be conducted using English; students are expected to participate in the discussion during the class.

For each topic, before the lecture, students will be tasked with keywords in each research field, and students are required to study before the class and share their knowledge on each specific term during the class.
The performance of students will be assessed by the course participation (50%) and homework assignments (50%).
