This course aims to enhance students' essential listening, speaking, and presentation skills for academic and professional goals. Students will learn key academic skills as they engage with real-world issues and topics. Through class discussion and learning tasks, students will further develop critical thinking and collaboration skills. This course will prepare students to work effectively and confidently in the academic and professional context. By the end of the course, students will: 1. enhance listening, note-taking, speaking, discussion, and presentation skills, 2. comprehend contents that cover more specialized or sophisticated topics to develop critical thinking, 3. identify and analyze points of view, arguments, or implicit information in listening materials, 4. participate in effective group discussions in which target vocabulary, grammar, speaking skills are reinforced, and 5. collaborate with their classmates to deliver effective presentations.
Please attend the first day of class.
