本堂課學生將學習到對免疫學基本了解,包含免疫學、免疫反應、T細胞與B細胞的角色與免疫相關疾病。此外,也將了解以免疫為基礎之技術用於相關疾病治療之發展。以此概念為基礎進一步認知口腔內的免疫系統之功能。 修習本課程之後,學生將會了解口腔免疫系統如何運作以保護宿主避免產生疾病,同時也了解目前疫苗與免疫工程技術的進展,並應用於口腔醫學上。 The objective of this course is to teach students the understanding of immunology, including basic immunology, immune response, the role of T and B cells and immune-related disease. Besides, they will also learn about the development of immune-based technologies for the treatment of related diseases. Based on this concept, students will further understand immune system functions within the oral cavity. In the end of this course, students will be able to understand how the oral immune system works to protects us against disease. At the same time, we also understand the progress of the currently vaccine and immune engineering technologies, and their applications in oral medicine.
