This course provides a comprehensive understanding of probability and queueing models, their analysis, and applications in telecommunications. Students will learn to model and analyze queueing systems, emphasizing cost-effective service provision and real-world applications. The course also prepares students for research in telecommunications applications of probability models and queueing theory.

This is an EMI course, and the slides for lectures in PDF format will be provided on the E3 platform. Students are required to develop independent thinking and apply the theorems and models learned in this course to real-world queueing problems. Reflective and critical thinking, along with collaborative work, are essential. Finally, effective presentation of your solutions and conclusions is also a crucial skill to master.
