“Mechatronics is the combination of mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and computer engineering. The purpose of this interdisciplinary engineering field is the study of automata from an engineering perspective and serves the purposes of controlling advanced hybrid systems.” (from Wikipedia) The objective of this course is to provide students (1) interface knowledge between mechanical and electrical systems, (2) basic circuitry background for mechanical engineers, and (3) preliminary ability to design automatic machines.
