Course Guideline: This course is dedicated to the study of impact evaluation, which involves estimating the effects of policies or interventions by developing counterfactual estimates. It uniquely integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills in causal inference using observational data. The curriculum includes hands-on application of theoretical concepts, employing real-world data sets during class sessions. This course is particularly advantageous for graduate students eager to delve into empirical research and refine their quantitative analysis skills. Course Objectives: 1. To provide students with the skills necessary for analyzing and interpreting data, along with an understanding of the challenges inherent in making causal inferences from observational data. 2. To strengthen students' capabilities in building empirical models and employing econometric techniques for effective policy evaluation.
