The focus of this course is on the management of Information Technology (IT) from business professionals’ perspective, which means the planning, organizing and controlling of the activities related to IT management. Furthermore, this course also covers applications of Health Information Technology in both hospitals and health promotion areas. The course aims to provide an in-depth look of management information systems which will be useful to all professionals. It will furnish a broader viewpoint of the field than other, more technical course. Specifically, this course covers the following topics: 1. The Evolution of IS; 2. Enterprise Applications; 3. IT Evolution; 4. BI; AI, Big Data, and IoT; 5. IT Applications in Health Industry. After completing this course students should learn what are IS and why firms/hospitals do utilize IS from the users’ perspectives.

At the end of course, total scores for all students will be rank ordered and divided into appropriate clusters. 5. A corresponding grade will be assigned. 6. Class Participation (20%) 7. Mid-Term Exam (40%) 8. Final Exam (40%)
