(Course Description & Objectives): Book II is a comprehensive learning material that focuses on spoken language. Also, this book contains short essays as supplementary readings. Therefore, students are expected to talk and read freely on various subjects.
Finish “<A Course in Contemporary Chinese> II: Lesson 1~10 NOTE: Students who attend from the start will have priority to be accepted.

Reminders: 1. For effective learning, students are required to hand write the vocabulary (Chinese characters) in every lesson for multiple times to achieve familiarity. 2. Regular attendance is required, and students who have more than 5 unexcused absences will be failed. A total absence of 1/3 of course hours will lead to an automatic failure.
Evaluation: Extra miles: 3% Attendance and Participation: 20% Homework : 15% Quizzes: 12% Midterm Exam : 25% Final Presentation: 25%

1. Learning to talk about travel plans, includes scenic spots, locations and surroundings. 2.Learning to describe the scenery and what is special about it. 3.Learning to express satisfaction and disappointment.
L12-How to Have a Healthy Diet
1.Learning to talk about my eating habits and eating customs in my country. 2.Learning to give suggestions on healthy eating.
L13-I Lost My Cell Phone
1.Learning to express and respond to discussion. 2.Learning to express the frequency of events. 3.Learning to offer solutions for problems.
L14-I Am Going to Start Looking for a Job
1.Learning to talk about my studies, lifestyle, future and plans for the future. 2.Learning to talk about my career plans and expectations.
L15 Lunar New Year
1.Learning to explain Lunar New Year traditions. 2.Learning to express welcome and carry on conversations with visiting guests.
