The immune system protects us from external invaders such as bacteria and viruses and attacks cancer cells originating inside the body. Moreover, immunotherapy has become one of the standard treatments for cancer therapy. Molecular imaging is a tool helping us to visualize biological processes or disease detection and has been used in studying the immune system, monitoring the progression of immune diseases, and developing immunotherapy. Therefore, this course will first introduce the immune system, several diseases, and related molecular imaging studies. Cancer immunology, immunotherapy, and related molecular imaging will also be discussed. Additionally, students will learn how to read a scientific paper and how to prepare a presentation.
This is an EMI course. The lecture will be taught primarily in English.

The lecture will be taught primarily in English. And students will be assigned to different groups to complete different tasks. Pre-recording video will be provided; the students need to make a small summary and present it to classmates. Also, some latest or most important research papers will be chosen for the in-class discussion.
Attendance 20%, Homework 20%, Participation 30%, Final presentation 30%
