This course is to introduce the principles of interactive technologies and the applications in design of interfaces between human and machine. The interactive technologies cover the sensing of touch, fingerprint, light, temperature, vibration, and x-ray etc. The understanding of the working principles can lead to a better signal to noise performance in the design of sensing devices and their integration to the display systems. The sensing principle, design theory, system architecture, and performance evaluation for individual device will be discussed in this course.
