Course Overview This course applies quantitative methods and decision analysis tools to address practical healthcare operations challenges. Topics are organized around two core themes: operations management: covering staffing, scheduling, productivity, resource allocation, supply chain and inventory management, facility location and layout, reengineering, and project management; and decision analysis: covering demand forecasting, decision-making models, queuing models, and capacity planning. Through theory and case studies, students develop data-driven decision-making skills for healthcare settings. Course Objectives To develop students' ability to apply quantitative methods to analyze healthcare operations problems and make effective managerial decisions.
