- This course introduces the concepts, technologies, and clinical applications of digital biomarkers. Topics include wearable and consumer sensors, signal processing, feature extraction, machine learning, model evaluation, and clinical validation. - Students will learn how to design digital biomarker studies and address practical issues such as data quality, reliability, validity, missing data, privacy, ethics, usability, and real-world clinical implementation.
- Basic knowledge of biomedical engineering, physiology, or clinical medicine. - Basic knowledge of statistics and research methodology. - Prior exposure to biomedical signal processing and machine learning
