The course aims to provide fundamental understanding of semiconductors and associated optoelectronics applicable for 4 common applications such as LASERS, light emitting diodes, Photodetectors, and solar cells. The course introduces the terminologies to understand semiconductors. Upon completion of the course, the students will be conversant with basic semiconductor principles, definitions, terminologies, and understand devices made out of these semiconductors. This is a EMI course.
