This course will introduce: the fundamental concepts of quantum mechanics the QM formulations for basic quantum systems such as particle in a box, harmonic oscillator, rigid rotor, and hydrogen atom the approximation methods for many-body systems The aims of this course are to develop the fundamental knowledge of quantum mechanics to understand the trend of semiconductor material properties and the electronic configurations of atoms in periodic table to know the practical applications of quantum mechanics in microelectronic devices.
