個別研究

This course aims to facilitate students' own research, or art/media/creative or curatorial projects. Students taking this course for the first time: Please email me to introduce yourself and obtain my permission before taking the course. Students interested in pursuing a Ph.D. or M.A. research project, an art/film/media project, or a curatorial project in the fields related to my research are welcome to work with me. I will train students to hone their research skills so they can work on their Ph.D. or M.A. thesis projects and complete them on time. Those interested in taking this course should contact me via email by the first week of the semester. Please introduce yourself to me and let me know your research interests. Our work will begin from there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 本課程目標為協助個別同學依據自己的興趣學習做研究，以完成自己的博士論文、碩士論文, 或電影/錄像/攝影/媒體/藝術創作或策展作品。修課學生在第一次修此課前，請先寫信自我介紹，得到同意之後再選修。 我會依據個別學生的專長與興趣，培養學生建立紮實的讀理論與研究能力。然而修課學生也須注意，在研究所，研究是由研究生主動進行，好的教師所提供的則是知識上的引導與刺激。因此，如果妳/你的興趣是寫論文，包括純理論projects，請具備基本的查找資料與做研究能力。而如果妳/你的興趣是媒體與藝術類創作或策展計畫，請在第一次見面時帶以前做過的作品來，並根據自己想做的興趣，寫一至兩頁創作或策展計畫，讓我知道妳/你的思路與興趣。 請有興趣修課的學生最遲在學期開始的第一週與我聯繫，並介紹自己的研究興趣。我們的工作會由此開始。

喜歡紮紮實實學習、讀書、做研究、創作或策展的學生。 The course is open to active learners who know what they plan to do for their Ph.D. dissertations, MA theses, or MA film/media/art projects.

無備註

1. Depending on students ' work progress, I will meet with them individually and around three to four times per semester, yet I will let students decide how often they would like to meet with me. *Students taking this course should initiate their meetings with me.* 2. Those who take this course are expected to send me theory notes, research notes, film/media/art notes, thesis/dissertation proposal, or thesis/dissertation chapters, etc., at least a week before our meetings. If students send their materials later than expected, our meeting will be automatically postponed for a week. 3. Students should proofread and copyedit their work before sending it to me. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 本課目標為協助授課教師所指導之研究生獨立完成自己的研究與創作，並在自己規劃的時間表內有效率地完成碩博士論文、藝術作品/媒體作品/影像/策展作品。確切的課程內容與進行方式將據修課學生的興趣與能力而決定。 修課同學必須是本獨立研究課程的主動的參與者。授課教師則以其研究專長與經驗，引導與培養學生學術研究與創作的能力。換言之，修課同學必須主動積極，願意學習，清楚自己的研究興趣是什麼，並且勤奮認真。 1. 原則上，授課教師每個學期與修課學生會面3至4次。但實際會面頻率則依個別同學能力而決定，並且必須**由學生主動與教師聯繫**。 2. 請修課同學**最遲**必須在每次會談日的一週之前 將寫好之理論筆記，研究與文獻分析筆記，影像、媒體、藝術分析筆記、論文題綱、論文章節、或作品等，以電子郵件先寄給老師。若寄出筆記時間延遲，則會面順延一週。 3. 請修課學生在寄材料給老師之前，先確實檢查好寄給教師材料裡的錯字、寫作句法、標點使用及寫作格式等。如果所寄出的材料基本錯誤太多，授課教師將把材料寄回，請學生修改完成再寄出。
