This course introduces the theoretical foundations and practical applications of power electronics. Topics include an overview of power electronics, power electronic components, switching converters and modeling techniques, PWM switching technology, resonant switching techniques, soft PWM switching methods, as well as AC-DC conversion, DC-DC conversion, and DC-AC conversion.
Microelectronics, Circuit Theory, Signals and Systems Basic understanding of Electromagnetics and Control Systems is a plus.

The course will be taught in person on campus, with instruction conducted in Mandarin Chinese throughout the semester.
