This course focuses on the study of semiconductor materials and processing technologies specifically applied in the field of energy. Students will gain comprehensive knowledge about the diverse applications of semiconductor materials, extending beyond electronic devices to encompass energy storage devices and solar cells. Notably, silicon material will be explored extensively due to its crucial role in lithium-ion batteries and photovoltaic cells. Moreover, students will learn about semiconductor processing techniques that enable the production of precise and controlled structures, vital for manufacturing thin-film lithium batteries, 3D batteries, and thin-film solar cells. The course is designed to cater to young semiconductor talents who possess a keen interest in the application of semiconductor technologies in energy storage devices such as electric vehicles and energy storage stations, as well as solar cells.
